DLSC -- My Understanding On SciFi

As to what has been discussed, I now understand that Science Fiction is totally different from Fantasy. Science Fiction involves Science (well, duh?) as to Fantasy does not. For example, "Meet Dave", "Astroboy", "Jurassic Park", etc.

Good SciFi Movies:
1.) The Terminator - The movie includes the Science of Robotics and Artificial intelligence (A.I) and it never failed to portray it until the end of the movie.
2.) Future X-Cops - The movie is also about a cyborg. Much like terminator, The Cyborg is sent out to kill someone. The Science in the movie is also the art of Robotics and A.I.
3.) Virus (1980) - The movie involves the science of a virus (obviously), on how it was accidentally created by a geneticist that amplifies the potency of any other virus or bacteria it comes in contact with. Within a number of months, almost the whole population has died because of this except for some people.

Weak SciFi Movies:
1.) Spiderman - The movie is about an ordinary guy named Peter Parker. What made him become Spiderman is the science to it. He got bitten by a radioactive spider then he became Spidey overnight -- producing webs, having the ability to punch really hard, etc. I think it's a weak movie because the Science of it hasn't been portrayed all through out the movie. It has only been portrayed at the beginning.
2.) Inception - The movie talks about the science of dreams. They say that you are part of a different realm when you dream, and there's this machine that let's you be the architect of your own world --  a world where you're in charge. I think this is a weak SciFi movie because it's not possible (yet, i think) thus it's not believable.

College -- A New Beginning

May 23rd of year 2011 was the start of my new beginning -- College. Yes, college. On the first day I stepped into De La Salle-Canlubang (DLSC), I felt like starting over. But I never felt like I'm new to the place, maybe because I'm near to it or because I've been there a couple of times, or MAYBE it's just 'cause I know a lot of people there which makes me feel at home.

I've gone to DLSC's College Week when I was still in my 4th year High School. Students who've accompanied us say that DLSC is the largest La Salle (in terms of lot) in the country. They also say that it is the best La Salle institution. These students came from Manila, Benilde, etc. and  say that they like Canlubang the most because it's free from pollution, it offers a clean and green environment and you can really focus on academics here. They were really trying to convince us to enroll in DLSC. Eventually, it worked.

Now that I'm enrolled in DLSC, I can feel the Animo spirit. Higher batches have been really friendly and welcoming. I am glad that I'm enrolled here.
